1949 Bentley MK6 Special
Auction Estimate $75,000 – $100,000
This 1949 Bentley was ordered in 1949 and delivered to Eustace Watkins LTD for A.F Kemp Esq. in London England. It changed hands only a few times until the late 1970’s, when it was acquired by John Guppy and Dudley Beck of Johnard Vintage Car Repairs. In keeping with the quality & integrity of the cars, they created 16 Bentley Donington Specials to pay tribute to the Donington Raceway. This car is #3 of the 16 produced. It was featured in AutoCar Magazine in 1977 as well as other car publications.
It is finished in British Racing Green with complementing deep green leather interior and a black convertible top. It features Wilton wool carpet, a green walnut dash, complete custom built stainless fuel tank with luggage carrier and is the only one with R100 headlamps. Powered by a 4 ½ liter 6 cylinder engine with twin SU carbs and backed by a 4 speed manual transmission, this rare Bentley Donington Special is ready for the next car show or road rally.Register To Bid On This Vehicle
