This 1977 1/2 scale Ferrari 312T2 was built to honor Niki Lauda’s heroic effort towards winning the 1976 world championship. The subject of the film “Rush” portrayed the seemingly impossible comeback after a fiery crash at the Nurburgring that year saw Laudacome within a point of winning the 76 title.

Only 12 of the intended 100 cars were built by the Bologna, Italy firm ITALYCAR before Ferrari and Niki Lauda filed a lawsuit causing the end of production. These were made available through select Ferrari dealerships worldwide at a cost of $6995 USD in 1977.

These miniature 312T2 F1 cars were true to form. They featured a 2 cylinder 2 stroke BCC engine and a 2 speed transmission with reverse. Independent suspension, adjustable sway bars and coil overs were configured exactly as the Grand Prix cars. Hydraulic disc brakes and big Goodyear slicks along with Veglia gauges and a MOMO steering wheel were all 1/2 scale to the real 312T2.

This example is the 12th and last unit built. It remains as new. It’s never been started or driven. It is 100% original and includes the original manuals and bill of sale.
