A little known fact is that back in the late 20’s, Chrysler, still a fledgling company took a huge leap and gambled on the European market by venturing into international racing. In 1928, Chrysler entered a modestly modified Model 72 roadster in the prestigious 24 hr at LeMans race in France. This was a bold move, because Chrysler was competing with well established Marques such a Stutz, Aston Martin, Bentley and Alfa Romeo to name a few. After a grueling 24 hours, two of the Chryslers placed a respectable 3rd and 4th behind the race prepared Stutz and the Bentley. This award winning 1928 Model 72 Chrysler presented here is the street production version of the famous race car. It is meticulously restored and features factory period performance accoutrements of the era. Very few of these are known to have survived, here is a great opportunity to own a classic “Mopar” Hot Rod of the Roaring Twenties..
