The Cobra, the Last Boat in the Chris Craft Racing Runabout Series was Built Only in 1955. Chevrolet Had Introduced the New Fiberglass Material for Their Corvette in 1953, and This Was The First Use of Fiberglass on a Boat.
Only 52 18 Foot Cobras Were Built, and This Boat Woody Cobra 001, is the First Hull in This Series, (Specifically Made to be the Parade Marshall Boat at the 1955 Concourse d’Elegance show in Lake Tahoe).
Special Features Not Found on Any Other Cobra Include: Siren, Aluminum Cavitations Plate, Glove Box, Chrome Handel Hold on Seat, Engine Hour Meter, “Chris Craft” in Chrome Letters (Appears on the Windshield Deck),
All of This Woody’s 001’s Hull & Hardware are Original and Were Refinished in 1992. Only the Upholstery was Redone, Duplicating the Original Upholstery
The Engine (Which is Also Original) is a Standard Chris Craft KBL 6 Cylinder 131hp with 3 Zenith Carburetors.
