1987 Porsche 944 GTR
This car was built by FABCAR Engineering for Porsche Motorsports USA to establish customer cars for IMSA’s popular GTO class of the late 80s. Al Holbert was to help develop the car but unfortunately passed away before the project was complete. The car and all spares were sold to Chet Vincenz who campaigned the car in 1988 – 1991. During those years, Nissan, Ford, Audi and several other manufacturers were keeping GTO ultra-competitive. This car was typically the fastest privately entered car in the class. It remains in original paint but is mechanically sorted and used for historic racing. Spares included.
