This 1968 911 is a beautiful example of Porsche’s grand touring sports car. Now in its fourth year of production and racking up checkered wins on the race courses across the globe. For 1968, Porsche 911’s lineup remained pretty much unchanged. Although in the US, due to emissions compliance the 911S was substituted with the nearly as powerful 911L, a luxury replacement for the 911S. The engine displacement for 1968 also remained unchanged, still at 2.0 litres and 130 hp on the 911L (Luxury) US only models. This standard 911 Zuffenhausen screamer is presented in Pastel Blue, reminiscent of the famous “Gulf Blue” race livery colors that dominated the racing circuits across Europe for nearly a decade. It is showroom stock looking; the original chrome steel wheels and caps were replaced with a rare set of factory deep 15×6” Fuchs wheels. The body is straight and the paintwork has a good finish suitable for a daily driver or any local car show activities. The interior is factory stock black leatherette upholstery and has tinted windows. Some other accessories featured on this sporty 911 are, side marker lights and factory optional Hella 128 fog lights. The 2.0 litre horizontally opposed six motor starts and runs fine, this car has that great traditional “Flat six” Weber carbureted sound that is uniquely Porsche. This car is accompanied with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
